The power of music and the arts is undeniable. Music can soothe your soul and stir your heart in ways that the words alone can’t. Sometimes, it is through music and the arts that we can truly experience the presence of God.
If you have musical talents and are looking for a place to share your gifts, then Preston Hollow UMC is the place for you! And NOW is a great time to join Preston Hollow’s Music & Arts Ministries! We currently offer two opportunities to serve:
The Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening in the Sanctuary from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We also gather in the Sanctuary at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday to prepare for the worship service. The Chancel Choir sings for all Sunday worship services, as well as special services during the year.
Big Plans!
Arts Ministry Team
We have exciting (and ambitious) plans for the future, and we need your help! A third way you can share your gifts with Preston Hollow is to join the newly forming Preston Hollow Arts Ministry Team! This group of volunteers will be responsible for planning and executing community Arts events: concerts, gallery exhibitions… the sky’s the limit!
Children’s Music Ministry Team
One of our goals is to create a strong, vibrant children’s music ministry. If you have a passion for children, we need you!
